The states of Oklahoma and Georgia have adopted the federal government’s E-Verify Program to screen all public employees and the employees of certain contractors with public agencies for their eligibility to work in the United States.

The Oklahoma House Bill 1804 by overwhelming margins.  The House voted 85-13-3, and the Senate 41-6-1. www.okhouse.gov.

Georgia's Senate Bill 529 passed similarly.  The House voted 119-49-8, and the Senate 39-16-0.  www.legis.ca.gov.
